Waitrose Alcester Store Donate to 480 Squadron

Air Cadets from 480 (Studley) Squadron Air Training Corps received a welcome donation from Waitrose in Alcester.

Back in June 2010, 480 Squadron were selected to receive the donation as they had been chosen by the people of Alcester as a deserving cause for the Waitrose store to support.

Cadets including Sergeant Allum, Sergeant Harris, Cadet Wells and Cadet Poxson went to collect the cheque from the store Manager.

The cadets also enjoyed mingling with members of other local organisations who had also received donations throughout 2010. These included the British Heart Foundation, Help the Aged and Studley Boys Football Club.

The Officer Commanding 480 Squadron, Flight Lieutenant Mark Hulme, said “It was a welcome surprise to receive the money, which will go towards the running of the Mini Bus to enable cadets to continue to attend events off squadron on weekends”.
